Which applicant are you?
First-time applicant
Never applied, or withdrew before a decision.
Your first application, prepared properly →Family or spouse
Applying with a spouse or children, or sponsored by a Singaporean or PR.
One household, one consistent application →EP or S Pass professional
Employed in Singapore on a work pass.
PR for Employment Pass and S Pass holders →Where PR applications usually go wrong.
Applying on instinct, not evidence
Submitting because a friend was approved, without knowing which factors are strong and which are thin.
Stale or inconsistent records
An employment letter older than a month, payslips that do not match CPF, job titles that differ between CV and contract.
No narrative
Forms that are complete but say nothing about why this person, now, intends to make Singapore home.
Wrong timing
Applying a few months before a promotion, a marriage or a qualification that would have changed the picture.
Nothing learned after a rejection
Reapplying with the same evidence and a new date.
What ICA says it considers.
ICA states that PR applications are assessed holistically. The factors it names include family ties to Singaporeans, economic contributions, qualifications, age, family profile and length of residence, together with the applicant's ability to contribute and integrate and their commitment to sinking roots in Singapore. ICA's document checklist asks for records that evidence these, including education certificates, a recent employment letter, six months of payslips and, for the self-employed, business registration and financial records. ICA may request further documents during assessment.

Eight factors, one honest answer.

Ready to Prepare
Your profile and evidence look ready to be assembled.
Strengthen First
One or more factors would benefit from work before you apply.

Explain the case with evidence
We help connect your contribution, family circumstances and roots in Singapore to records ICA can assess.
